I travelled to Moose Jaw to participate in the 2017 Sheta Conference on September 29 and 30th 2017. I left on the 29 th as it is a very long drive.
I love attending this conference as it is the only time I am able to connect with other teachers in my field of Home Economics. I was able to connect with teachers from our Northern Area as well, and it is nice to share and network with people who have the same issues/ ideas as you.
The conference was made up of Sessions covering the areas of nutrition, cooking, sewing, interior design, and entrepreneurship. We were able to go to almost every session because it was only a 1 day conference this year.
The day started at 9:00 am – with Breakfast and Registration 9:15 to 10:00 am – Sessions ran 10 – 12 and 1:45 -4:00….… lunch from 12 to 1:30 pm – We held the AGM from 12:30 – 1:30 and then sessions again from 1:45 to 3:45 pm.
It was a very informative, interactive and valuable conference to attend.
